MOMENTUM STARTS WITH SHOWING UP
Take one step—and then another
Confidence doesn’t always arrive with a bold entrance. Sometimes, it builds quietly—one decision, one conversation, one brave step at a time. It grows every time we show up for ourselves, even when we don’t feel completely ready. Every time we speak up, introduce ourselves, share an idea, ask a question, or take a chance despite uncertainty, we strengthen the belief that we are capable. At MMM, we believe you don’t have to have all the answers to move forward. You just have to trust yourself enough to take the next step.
Momentum works the same way. We can spend a lot of time waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect plan, or the confidence to begin. But momentum is created through movement. One introduction can become a relationship. One idea can become an opportunity. One decision can change the direction of your month—or your life. Small, intentional actions have a way of becoming something much bigger when we keep moving.
Sometimes the hardest part is simply beginning. Big goals can feel overwhelming when we look at everything that has to happen between where we are and where we want to be. But we don’t have to accomplish everything today. We only have to identify what we can do next. Send the email. Make the call. Ask for the introduction. Share the idea. Apply for the opportunity. Schedule the meeting. Take one step—and then another.
And we don’t have to do it alone. Part of the power of MMM is being in a room with women who bring their own experiences, expertise, ideas, resources, and connections to the table. We each arrive carrying something that may be exactly what another woman needs. Sometimes the next step comes from within us. Sometimes it comes through a conversation with the woman sitting across the table.
That’s why showing up matters. When we consistently put ourselves in spaces that encourage us to think bigger, connect intentionally, and keep moving, something begins to shift. We become more willing to trust our ideas. More comfortable using our voices. More open to asking for what we need—and offering what we have.
You don’t have to be fearless. You don’t have to have everything figured out. And you certainly don’t have to do everything at once. You just have to be willing—willing to begin, willing to connect, willing to learn, willing to contribute, and willing to act.
So as you move through this month, ask yourself: What is one thing I can do to create momentum? Then do that one thing. You may be surprised by what begins to move when you do.
Show up. Make the connection. Take the next step.
That’s Monday Morning Momentum.
